The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has gone through various changes since its foundation. This is a unit which has constantly been upgraded and restructured to accommodate more patients as it cater to critically sick neonates. The team has saved many lives including premature babies weighing less than 700 gms. With the upgradation of the unit the team has been able to save more lives than it could back in 2011. The whole first floor of the B-Block of the hospital, covering an area of 28 ft. x 13 ft. and 32 ft. x 24 ft. is completely dedicated to NICU. Total NICU beds all of which are ventilator compatible are 21. Neonatal unit is looked after by Dr. Khumanthem Ratankumar Singh, CMD, Senior Consultant, Paediatric Medicine.

Up until 2014 the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) was a very small unit with just two beds. At present it is a full-fledged 16-bedded unit.
