The neonatal intensive care unit, commonly known as NICU, is a highly specialized healthcare unit designed for the treatment and intensive medical care of newborns. Our NICUs are embedded with state-of-the-art medical equipment, advanced support systems for vital organs, such as CRRT, HFOV and ECMO services, and a team of highly skilled medical professionals dedicated to providing specialized care for neonates. It is worth noting that newborns in need of intensive care often fare better when they are born in a facility with a NICU, rather than being transferred after birth.
The Department of neonatology at Mother’s Care Children Hospital & Research Center offers comprehensive treatment for various conditions, including Child Development, Child Neurology, Pediatric Allergy/Immunology/Pulmonology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Endocrinology, Pediatric Gastroenterology & Nutrition, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Pediatric Nephrology, and Pediatric Hematology & Oncology.
