Mother’s Care Children Hospital and Research Centre (MCCHRC) Imphal, established in the year 2004, is a Trust-run hospital which aims at providing quality healthcare to new-borns and pediatric patients. Pioneering as an exclusive neonates and pediatric oriented hospital in the region, MCCHRC thrives to reduce infant mortality rate by providing optimum care to new-borns at birth and consistently providing intensive neonatal care services thereafter, till the baby is fit. The members of the Trust, predominated by healthcare professionals, held the belief that by providing a specialised facility which would enable us to attend to immediate and critical healthcare needs of new-borns, many lives could be saved, thus MCCHRC came into being.
Realizing the importance and necessity of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the hospital started with a modest 5-bedded NICU. As of today, we are a 100-bedded pediatric hospital, with 21 NICU beds and 16 PICU beds.
